Rich Chapin

Richard W. Chapin, M.S., P.E., BCEE has over 39 years of professional experience in the management and execution of complex environmental projects, which require an interdisciplinary approach for successful completion. His professional expertise ranges from construction management of hazardous substances cleanup actions to development and execution of multi-site, real estate inspection programs. Mr. Chapin’s experience includes expert testimony on remedial investigations and site cleanup, numerous soil and groundwater contamination assessments; feasibility evaluation and design of remedial actions; execution of numerous Phase 1 assessments; preparation of hazardous waste operating permits; design and operation of industrial wastewater treatment facilities; design of new underground storage tank systems as well as closure of existing USTs; design of landfill disruption and closure plans; preparation of spill prevention plans, including design and permitting of containment structures; design and successful implementation of in-situ bioremediation of organic contaminants; and negotiations with Federal and state regulatory agencies.
